These terms apply when you use the Rafiq app and this website. By using Rafiq you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
What Rafiq is, and what it is not
Rafiq brings you verses of the Quran and authentic hadith, with reflections and answers written with the help of AI from the explanations of recognised scholars. It is a companion for reflection and learning.
We take great care that every text is quoted exactly and every explanation comes from its sources, and each answer is checked against them before it is shown. AI can still make mistakes, so for anything that matters, go back to the sources and to people of knowledge.
Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google, and you are responsible for activity on your account. Use Rafiq for yourself and in good faith: do not try to break, overload or misuse the service, and do not use it to produce harmful content. We may suspend accounts that do.
Rafiq Plus
- Plus is a subscription bought through your Apple ID. Apple charges it at the start of each period, and it renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel it at any time in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies.
- The AI chats allow plenty of questions for normal use: currently up to 20 every two hours, shared between the two chats. This keeps Rafiq fair and affordable for everyone.
- Features may change over time. If Plus loses something important, we will tell you in the app.
Texts, sources and credits
The texts in Rafiq belong to their sources and are used under their terms:
